Shiraz

  • 06.02.2025 → 07.02.2025 Au BNM, dans le cadre du festival ParallèleReservation

ow can we pay tribute to ten years of artistic work and creativity that were brutally interrupted? Is it possible to revive the Shiraz Arts Festival through dance performance? Armin Hokmi, an Iranian choreographer based in Berlin and Oslo, explores these questions in Shiraz. With his team, he transposes this event into the present, imagining its rebirth in the form of a dance performance. Part homage, part fictional re-enactment, Shiraz embodies the festival's passion for the living arts, celebrating their autonomy and shared roots across geographical boundaries.

Seven dancers weave a pattern of movement, winding and unwinding to the pulsing rhythm of a captivating soundtrack. Their minimalist gestures are executed with rigor and subtlety. While evolving in unison, they express their singularities, tracing fluid trajectories that bring them together in ephemeral constellations, transporting us to another place and time.
